Board Members

The Live Oak Lake CDD, as with other CDDs throughout the State of Florida, is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors. These individuals act in much the same way as a City or County Commissioner, in that they are public servants for the citizens in the community they serve. Supervisors for the Live Oak Lake CDD are governed by the same laws as other governmental officials, including the Sunshine Law and Public Records Law.

The Board of Supervisors for the District consists of five members, who are elected in landowner elections until the District is six years old and there are 250 registered voters within the District. Both thresholds must be met, and once they are, then the election process transitions to a General Election process, conducted by the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections, where interested candidates must qualify to run for a seat on the Board, much like a City Commissioner or other publicly elected official.
